About this campaingn
Sara Payan is a local San Francisco singer/songwriter who was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in January 2011. In February she had resection surgery to remove a large tumor. In March she embarked on six months of aggressive chemotherapy which resulted in painful lingering neuropathy and constant exhaustion. In September when she was ready to go back to work she found she had lost her job and the ability to afford her insurance benefits.
Sara's a fighter, every day she's getting stronger while actively looking for work. In the meantime she needs our support help to cover her medical expenses so that she can continue her recovery through regular checkups and medications. It's been a grueling journey but it's almost over.
In hopes of eliminating some of this burden we have established a monetary goal of support to equal four months of her COBRA payments, $3000.
This spring Sara will get her first CAT Scan to confirm her successful recovery- together we can help her keep that appointment!
